Consultation on Sir Thomas Abney's new PSHE & RSHE Policy

Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education is an important part of the curriculum here
at Sir Thomas Abney. It also includes the teaching of Relationships, Sex and Health Education
(RSHE). We are currently seeking your views on our new PSHE & RSHE policy that can be viewed here:

Draft PSHE & RSHE policy

As you may be aware, the Government provides statutory guidance for the teaching and learning of
Relationships and Sex Education and as part of this children are taught about how to stay
safe and how their bodies change and grow. This is taught in age-appropriate ways, using language
that the children understand.

To learn more about the teaching and learning of PSHE & RSHE at Sir Thomas Abney, we have provided some extra documents:

DfE guidance on teaching Relationships and Health Education

A 'Jigsaw' PSHE/RSHE information leaflet for parents/carers

We would love to hear your views on the new PSHE & RSHE policy and have provided an online form for feedback by 21st March 2024.
